Runway calculator
How much runway could a data sale buy?
Enter your cash position and monthly burn, then an illustrative data-sale amount. The calculator shows how many extra weeks of operations the net proceeds could fund. It's arithmetic, not a forecast.
How to read it
Runway today is cash divided by monthly burn. Net to operations is the gross amount less the share you expect lenders or carve-outs to take and less transaction costs. Added runway is that net amount divided by burn.
In a real case, how much of the proceeds the debtor can actually use depends on whether a lender's lien attaches to them, the terms of the DIP and cash-collateral orders, and the approved budget. Bring this to your financial advisor and counsel, not to the bank.
What moves the gross number
- Which systems are included and how many years of history
- How specialized the work is
- How much has to be excluded for contracts or privacy
- How many buyers bid, and when
